    New releases?

What is the best way to get a heads up before there is a new tobacco, especially a C&D, release coming out? I feel like I am in the dark and then some releases sell out so quick.

    Bowl Coatings….Why!?

I have always wanted to go to Paul’s but never made it there.

    Making a zippo even better

I used to be worried about the zippo fuel smell ruining the pipe smoke. However, I find in practice with the pipe insert I actually don’t get any of that smell when using it with a pipe. Have a brass and also a sterling zippo both in the heavier gauge “Armor” versions and love them both.

    Bowl Coatings….Why!?

I have really come to enjoy and appreciate Castello pipes. I used to only want pipes with vulcanite stems. That kept me from trying Castellos. Then I fell in love with a Castello for it’s shape and grain and just had to have it. It smoked so well from the first bowl and has broken in better than...

When I go to the page I can't see any pics for the pipe or a price - maybe you already pulled the trigger which is quite undertandable

The Best $100 You Ever Spent

bonehed - nice score on that Russ Cook pipe. I thought it would go for a bit more when I listed it up on eBay but that is how things go...sometimes high sometimes low. Glad to hear you are enjoying it.

    Unholy Stem Smell

Great work and sounds like there has a happy ending considering where you started out with the pipe. Love the shine on the stem.

    Extended Travel and Tobacco Storage

Cob pipes and 50gm tins of flake tobacco seems like it would keep weight down as well as space and only having one tin open at a time would ensure the rest would be fresh. In my experience flake tobacco seems to stay fresher longer when the tin has been opened as well in comparison to ribbon cut.

Is Virginia (Straight-Up) More The Delight Of Tea Drinkers?

I can't speak to the tea notes in FVF but I do very much like a sweetened black tea with a straight Virginia. Goes great with McCrannies Red Ribbon.
