To Clay or not to Clay....
What good will that do? They stopped selling them 40 odd years ago! My old man used to buy them from a tobacconist in Llandrindod Wells, 6 at a time! This was in the 60's & they cost literally next to nothing! A clay today with a nickel ferrule and vulcanite stem, would set you back...- simong

My Recent Trip to Latvia and Smoking.
Never seen anything from Latvia before so thanks for showing us your photos. I believe Russia has or had quite a healthy selection of pipe tobacco available. Wether you'd be able to access it or not, I don't know. Best of luck to you and your wife on the move! 👍- simong

You referring to 'Kriswill Blue?' That contains a small percentage of perique & is nothing like the original Wills's Capstan. (imo). I saw that macbarens make a bespoke blend for a German tobacconist, they were given an old cutter top tin and asked to match it, that one's called'...- simong

8.4%? Probably down to the fact that I've been brought up on lower 'abv' beers, but I always find the higher percentage ruins the taste of the beer for me. Belgian beers are the same, despite being some of the world's most respected beers, one or two is enough for me. Too rich.- simong
