***What Are You Smoking, April 2024?***

1st smoke of the day was 2018 Dunhill Elizabethan in a 1 dot Brigham. 2nd smoke is now some Sutliff Red Virginia Kake from 2020 in the same old Brigham

    Brass Spigot

For whatever reason I can't access the Altinay site on my home internet or data on my phone while at home. Anywhere else, there is no issue.

    Brass Spigot

I'm probably not going to pull the trigger, so here is a link. To be clear, I do not intend to question the maker or bash their product. I am simply curious about the use of brass as a spigot https://www.altinaypipes.com/shop/billiard-spigot-meerschaum-pipe-16/

How long to smoke a bowl?

If you're looking for a guideline, I would suggest focusing more on temperature of the smoke and flavor of the smoke. If the pipe stays cool and the flavor is good, you're doing it right puffy

    A Noob's Perspective on Peterson's Elizabethan Mixture

Nice write up. Elizabethan is one of my favorites especially with a few years on it. The match is also really nice.

    Brass Spigot

Good question. I don't know and it may be worth asking. Thanks for thinking of that.

    Brass Spigot

100% certain. I don't want to name the maker in case someone goes off the rails but he is a well known meerschaum carver. I don't forsee any issues with a brass spigot but I figured it wouldn't hurt to ask the group

    Brass Spigot

I am looking at a meer with a brass spigot. I've never seen one using brass before so I am approaching with caution. The maker is very reputable and I am sure it is fine but I am still not totally ready to hit buy. Does anyone have any experience with brass spigots on pipes or more specifically...

    Newcomer from Canada

Welcome from Saskatchewan. You will have to fact check me on this but, I believe Brigham has switched from vulcanite to acrylic on all models as of a year or so ago.

What is Your Favorite Blend in the Morning?

Lately it has been Amphora Burley or SWR

    Comfort Food Tobaccos

I had this impression of SWR at first too. I put the jar away for a while. Fast forward about a year and I decided to try it again, but this time in a large bent Brigham. Something clicked and now it is a regular smoke for me.
