    New Old Stock Il Ceppo

I did go down a temporary Savinelli rabbit hole for a little bit. Not in my collection yet but it's almost unavoidable, right? I still have two spaces on my rack to fill at some point (well three if you don't count the cob...)

    New Old Stock Il Ceppo

I don't have a scale but it isn't any heavier than my Peterson Dublin #69. The bend of the stem is the perfect length and angle to rest on the chin though. Very comfortable. The outer ring looks like it may be olive wood. The white ring is some sort of plastic that holds the outer ring on with...

    New Old Stock Il Ceppo

My newest pipe was delivered yesterday. Unsmoked Il Ceppo which appears to be pre-1995 according to the markings. It ticked a lot of boxes on my latest search requirements: - Italian - Rusticated - interesting shape I am in love with the design sense that is evident in the Pesaro school...

    Stop By Your Local B&M

My local B&M has been in business for 40 years so I think they have a model that works. Always very helpful and courteous. They are a couple dollars a tin more expensive than online. However, when you throw in the free 2 year cellaring and stellar employees it's more than worth the sticker price.

    Stop By Your Local B&M

Stopped by a local shop today after seeing they received a negative review for following some safety precautions for COVID. Evidently some people don't want gloved employees handling their cigars. I think we should be greatful they agree to open. They certainly don't have to be. Anyway, I...

So New to Pipe Smoking, My First Pipe Hasn't Arrived Yet

Welcome! I'm new to the forum and pipes as well. I recently picked up a Brigham Mountaineer and have enjoyed it so far. I too have been pleasantly surprised at how welcoming this forum is to n00bs. May your pipe be ever full, friend.

    Oh-Oh, the Retrohale

I can't believe I didn't figure this out on my own but wow this makes all the difference. So much more flavor and character to be found. Great tip!

What Does Your Scene Look Like?

I should probably take care of that downed tree but the hound said it can be for now. He's pretty smart. Best to take his advice.

Welcome from NC! So far my one pipe has only tripled...but I'm not sure how much longer I can hold it back.

Greater Appalachia may be a more appropriate term I suppose. Thanks all for the welcome.

    Greetings from a Carpetbagger

Hello everyone, New to pipes for the last couple months. I've always enjoyed tobacco from cigarettes (quit, thankfully) an occasional cigar (too expensive) and a brief and regrettable experimentation with Skol Bandits (youthful indiscretion). I am finding pipes to be a great way to enjoy a smoke...
