Lone Star Pipe Club (DFW) Meetup - THIS THURSDAY!

Do you always do Thursday meets? I'm a couple of hours out, and would like to attend sometime. However a day besides Friday or Saturday evening just doesn't work for obvious reasons. B

Yep, that's the one you traded me. Once I started doing some commissions they are almost all that I smoke now with only a few exceptions. B

Time To Let Some Go 05/09/2015

Decided to thin the herd down for another commission. Too many here that are not being smoked. Peterson Aran billiard, great smoker that just fell out of my rotation. $55 shipped. Johs 1/8 bent billiard that smokes like a dream. Just a taller bowl than I prefer. $55 shipped Larocca...

It Is Official... Rad Davis Has Retired

Wow, this is really disappointing. I wish I had spent the money now to have one. Him and Michael Parks were my top two wants on a commission. The Parks is out of my reach or some time, but I should have stretched to get the Rad. It's probably best for Rad, and I hope him a happy retirement. B

Another Duck Season Comes To An End...

Saint, that is some fine looking hunting there. Hoping for some geese next year. A species I have yet to harvest. You boys in LA are privy to some fine hunting. Training my first lab currently for next season.

Another Duck Season Comes To An End...

I do love some wild duck. Some crispy skin seared wood duck is hard to beat. Buroak, I fire a pipe up often in the deer blind. Just need the wind in your favor. If there is enough time to smoke while you are duck hunting you should have stayed at home! lol. If it's any good smoking a pipe isn't...

Another Duck Season Comes To An End...

Today marked the end of yet another fine season. Had some fantastic time with friends, and did well this season. Closed it out in style today with a full limit of Mallard, teal, and Wood Ducks. I hate to see it go, but am ready for the time to rest as well. Another bowl breaking in my new Layton...

    Layton Calabash Completed

Thanks fellas. Bradley I much prefer an uncoated bowl for my VA flakes, latakias I don't notice much difference. But the lighter tasting flakes I notice a truer flavor from uncoated. I received the pipe yesterday and smoked it last night as well as tonight. Decided to break it in with some Orlik...

Deuce the browning is a citori XS Skeet and is a fine shooter. Scared to scratch her, but it felt great to shoot a few with it. B

Thanks fellas, Peck I have to agree with you. Clark really knocked it out of the park on this one. I was planning this pipe to match my bent brandy. When he sent the first progress pics I could tell it had some great Birdseye. Told him if he needed to change the stains to show it off to go...
