    Every day. Here in Panama wearing a mask is mandatory, even out in the empty countryside or driving alone in your car. When I see a checkpoint ahead it is a race to get the pipe out of my mouth and get the mask on.

    Lately, I have been getting pimples on the inside of my cheeks. They don't cause any discomfort, and usually disappear in a couple of days, to be replaced by new ones in slightly different locations. Could these be caused by smoking? I have smoked for many years, and didn't notice them before.

    Trust me, you don't really want a huge bowl. Millions of smokers over hundreds of years have figured out what size bowls work. When I was a fairly new smoker I made a bunch of pipes, and figured that bigger was better. My large bowl pipes never get used, and I couldn't even give them away.

    I have about 20 pipes in my regular rotation. I puff constantly. Of all my pipes just one, a Peterson, gets really hot. Another Pete with thinner walls doesn't.

    I bought it back in the 60's. I don't know the maker, but the bowl came apart in pieces. Do you know where I can get a replacement bowl? The hole in the gourd is 30.3 mm. What is the pipe worth, and what would a bowl cost?

    I also got one during the sale. It is smooth, and so perfectly shaped and smooth, and the paint is so hard, that I thought it might be something other than briar.
