How Would you Value your Pipes?

I don't think I've been smoking long enough to have an emotional attachment to any of my pipes. Maybe when I'm old and gray I'll have a different opinion.

Best B&M’s on the East Coast?

I know I’m a little late on this but if you are still planning, John B Hayes in Winchester VA is a must. Good selection of Tins and bulk, and a nice selection of pipes. They also have any other form of tobacco you might be interested in.

Having a drink with your smoke?

If I’m going to have a bourbon with my pipe I keep it under 100 proof with great success. I find that a barrel proof bourbon mutes the flavor. Barrel proof is great with a cigar though!

Carolina Red Flake w/ Perique 2021 First Thoughts

There will be a 2021 Cringle Flake. I've seen it with my own eyes!

    Dedicated Pipes

I split between english, VA based and aromatics. Haven't found a need to refine beyond that.

A Little Something To Make The Pipe Life Easier.

Sorry, you seem to be the no-frills type. I would have bet that would have been your answer, my poor attempt at humor.

I use Mason jars without the lid. I think it's fun to see all the different ways people do things!

    Life After McClelland

I know I'm still a n00b but I poneyed up for some of the McClelland blends just to see what all the hype was about. They were good but plenty of stuff on the same level is out there and has already been mentioned. I will say I'm sad I won't have many other chances at the frogs though!

    Is There A Baseline?

I have seen this come up a few times in my short time here. It usually splits the group into two categories like I think it did here, either a great idea or, Why overcomplicate it? At the end of the day it is about what helps you enjoy your smoke more, so go for it!

The Relative Rarity of Pipe Smoking & Our Current Intellectual Crisis.

It makes me feel better that I'm not the only one you out search!

    Double Fisting

I did something similar when I first started (a couple of months ago) but I smoked two half bowls back to back of a similar blend. I was trying to smoke similar blends and components to try and find the difference. Looking back I think it would have been easier to just smoke the components straight.
