Do You Still Have Your First Pipe?

Still do and still love the pipe. A Peterson 69 Flame Grain. Was a gift from a good friend while I was in college and working part time at the local cigar shop.

Ok, I bought a block of Carnauba... it's super Hard

When I picked up some carnauba a few years ago, I grabbed two blocks thinking I'd need plenty since I have a fairly healthy number of pipes. Even with my buffer setup and all the ones I've cleaned up, I've maybe put a small dent on one of them. Won't be needing more anytime soon.

    FVF advise needed !

I generally don't like my tobaccos too dry, because I often find they hit my taste buds as hot and harsh, very unpleasant. However, FVF is one of those that needs a good amount of dry down time. Smoked right out of the tin, it tends to be too hot with steam and really muddles out the flavor...

I thought this thread was about someone trying to smoke Gawith ropes for the first time.

    Troost Discontinued.

Early on in my pipe smoking, a lot of the guys on a long since gone forum I used to hang out on loved Troost. Since then it seems I never even saw the name come up anymore. I never cared for it but it is disappointing to see a classic go.

    My Thoughts on Penzance

I think it's a great blend but not something I go completely nuts over. If I come across a bag or tin at the right price, I'll certainly pick one up but it's not something I go to great lengths to seek out. I've found blends from C&D, GLP, Gawith etc that I found just as enjoyable for my...

    Bob's Chocolate Flake

Bob's is one of my favorite blends. I smoked a bowl and loved it so much I hopped online and ordered more. One I def will not ever be without.

Tobacco You did not Think You'd Like

Anything Lakeland. Especially Ennerdale. I read so many reviews about the soapy grandma's perfume comments. Then I finally broke down and tried it. Absolutely love the stuff!
