I have a Savinelli Dolomite with coating, I haven't notice any flavor on the first smokes, but, I have several Petersons with really awful smokes at the begining, with nothing in common, diferent color, diferent finishes, some have a great start, and some need some smoking to burn what I think... -
Corn Cob, Acrylic Stem and Vauen 6mm Filter
My cob has plastic stem, and the fit is really tight, only 2mm inside the steam and is already good, there is a lot of space in the shank so I don't bother to take the filter more in the steam. I think I’m done with Zippo Butane Pipe Insert
I've got one, and is absolute awful experience. I love zippos, I love the pipe insert, but I don't smoke daily, so I waste a lot of fuel that just evaporate, and with that in mind, I still use my zippo a lot. Savinelli Balsa Filters Further Information
I use balsa filters for the moisture, after smoking they are wet, and sometimes I see a little tart and ashes. I use them with the very mild blends cause I don't fell they take any flavor, for everything else I use activeted carbon filters. I wonder what are the impurities for you, like, stuff...- mpxstyle

Savinelli 6mm Charcoal in Corn Cob
I have two Missouri Pride with plastic steams listed for 6mm filters, as long as I know, the acrylic steams are not drilled to hold any filter, and that is something that hold me to get the nicer models of cobs, may be there is enough shank space to hold a filter, o may be no.
