Going Without A Pipe (Oh, The Horror!)

Try some dry tobacco in a small bowl with a half load for a quicker smoke. You can go out front and hang for a fifteen minute pipe load. For me it's not the nicotine, it just puts me in relax mode. A hot cup of coffee and a dry load of Presbyterian mix sounds good. j

    Topping Up Your Bowl

I've done it a few times. No problem with dry smoking tobacco. Much prefer to load another bowl or half bowl. If I do back-to-back bowls I tap the bowl in my palm to get the moisture out if it's wet. j

U.S. Congress Bill Would End Catalog/Internet Sales

But this is exactly how they will put a death nail in smoking, anywhere. I listen to a radio station streamed on my PC as I work. Every break there is a lengthy add about how secondhand smoke kills. They cleverly play the ad at every break repetitiously to brain wash. And in the end, the...

***What Are You Smoking?*** (November, 2019)

I just popped a tin of Presbyterian Mixture. I will load a Stanwell after I post this and see if I like it. j

    What are You Reading Now?

Current pleasure reading is: 'The Wrong Side of Goodbye, Michael Connelly'. j

    What are You Reading Now?

Great read. To compliment this you should read "Blood and Thunder" and "Apache Wars". After those three you get a good idea of what really happened in that region in that timeline. j

What are You Drinking Tonight? (November, 2019)

Enjoying Macallan 18 with some Peter Heinrichs No. 314 in my Kriswill Chief. Life is good, j

    What Is Your GoTo Lighter?

I use Zippos for everything. I have a butane pipe insert in one and a butane torch insert(for cigars) in the other. I use them everyday. The butane inserts work well with the right butane. j

    Amorelli ?

I'm going to go off the reservation a bit here and put in a plug for my Sumerler (Armellini). It's a bent billiard with a vulcanite stem; a nice smoking pipe, one of my favorites. Anyhow, another Italian you might look for. j

    Greetings from Central California!

Welcome. I am new here too. So new I feel like I'm welcoming you into someone else's home. Aside from that rudeness, I too smoke many cigars. Pipes are better. A few cigars shops around here won't let you smoke a pipe in their lounge. I like to lounge at home anyway. Enjoy! j

    US Customs Holding Up Pipes

I was thinking the issue would be the stem. Maybe just slap a Starbucks sticker on everything plastic... then you can sip on it all you want. Save the earth, unless you're selling Dr. Seuss drinks. A fripfrapping foofrapper with a twist of nammynunu anyone? j

    Smoking Inside the House

My back patio faces west. So I can smoke out there in the summer afternoons and evenings and be in the shade. It's quite relaxing. But just yesterday the wind and bitter cold(62 degrees) sent me scurrying for shelter. The workshop area in my Garage is quite nice. I have a nice assembly table I...

    Hello from Los Angeles

Thanks, and I get it. I wanted to move to Georgia when I got out of the Army. My best friend lived in Atlanta, Gwinnett County. Came very close, but I ended up back here. It really starts making good sense to leave here when you retire, with the high income tax. I've done alright here up to...

    Hello from Los Angeles

Thanks. Many people don't know what big part the Chinese played on the development of the west coast. They came during the gold rush by the boat load(witty pun). But yes, China everything. And it is one busy harbor. I got up to use the bathroom a couple weeks ago and looked out my bedroom...

    Hello from Los Angeles

Thanks smokespiper123. And umm, you know, "Wisdom will save you from the ways of wicked men" but you have a shotgun and a bottle of hooch. I may be inline with your thoughts on how we define wicked! It's indulgence for me, but I like the upgrade to wisdom!
