    Bagpiper’s Dream

Just an FYI, Bagpiper’s Dream is in stock at SmokingPipes.com if anyone is interested. I ordered mine so feel free to buy the rest. 😉 This has been on my want to try list for a while now, so a bright spot on this cloudy day.

    Ruger LCP vs. Smith Bodyguard

I find my LCP hard use accurately due to its size, so I consider that to be unsafe. My 3" SP101 is my favorite partner.

The cumberland stem 702 was my Thanksgiving pipe yesterday. I hope everyone had time for a relaxing smoke with their turkey.

Peterson System Standard Pipe: 302 vs 303

I am a new Pete Standard System smoker having purchased a 312 and 303 recently. Both with p-lips. Regarding the p-lip, like any stem, if you are puffing like mad you will be burned. I pack my pipes rather loosely initially, lighting is easy, relighting is rear, and I smoke softly. Sip and you...

Connecticut Pipe Meetup - Nov. 12th

Would love to meet you. Unfortunately I already have plans on November 12. Let me invite you and all to enjoy Pipe Night at the Tobacco Shop on Pratt Street in Hartford. Sounds like you will be in CT two more meetings. We meet the second Thursday of every month. This Thursday 10/13 is a special...

*** What Are You Smoking?*** (October 2016)

Well, I enjoyed two bowls of a Chatham Manor/BCA blend tonight in my new Peterson System 314. I have smoked a ton of the CH/BCA blend this week, and tonight's smokes were my first time smoking a Pete System pipe. I am a happy man at the moment.

Pipe smoking in a cigar bar

My last visit I purchased a tin of Escudo, though I had tobacco with me, at the shop before sitting down for my smoke. I buy pipe cleaners and other bits, even a cigar on occasion. I agree, it is polite to support your local shop through purchases.

    She Says I'm Not Normal!

I have no desire to ever be considered normal. That said, happy wife, happy life. Sit by the pool, or go to the lake. Bring your pipe and smoke it as you would on your porch. If she doesn't like that, accuse her of being normal.

    Arnie - Dead at 87

I met a man at the driving range who I had a discussion with when we saw we both had Bay Hill Guest tags on our golf bags. He met Arnie at a Coast Guard charitable golf tournament that was hosted at Bay Hill. Arnie remained involved with the CG throughout his life.

    Arnie - Dead at 87

I have had several opportunities to go to Bay Hill in the last number of years. Mr. Palmer was revered by his staff and everybody at his course. Unfortunately the one time he was on the property when I was he was having lunch with Jim Furyk. He gave a smile and friendly greeting when walking by...

    The Savinelli Billiards

Thank you gents. I favor smoking the KS size bowls, but am looking to round out the bunch with a smaller pocket sized partner. Shapes 105 or 109 in the Savinelli line have drawn my interest.
