    Nimrod...

My parents gave me one back in the 80's during my first go-round with pipes (I think my Dad may have had one back when he smoked in the 60's). Extremely cool, but never had much luck keeping it in working order. Need to get it out, and see if I can get it working again.

Fills on Sasieni Four Dot Walnut

My Charatan-era Ben Wade doesn't even have that many fills in it (not to mention the size of them either). Geez.

    Help to Identify Pipe Stamp

Looks like "Comeaux" to me: https://pipedia.org/wiki/Comeaux

    Dumb Question - Isopropyl Alcohol

No visible evidence of deterioration of the bag (I've sent moved it to a new one) and I didn't seen any evidence of moisture in it. Also, there's no noticeable change in the smell of the tobacco.

    Dumb Question - Isopropyl Alcohol

Sorry to bother everyone with a question like this, but I was using some 91% Isopropryl Alcohol earlier tonight while cleaning, and being my usual clumsy self, knocked the bottle over on my desk and spilled it, completely soaking a ziplock bag containing 4 oz of tobacco. I quickly wiped it all...

    SP has Rattray's in stock

Beginning to think that I stand a better chance of walking into my local thrift shop and finding an unsmoked Jess Chonowitsch pipe for $5.00 than ever finding any of these now "unobtanium" blends.

    SP has Rattray's in stock

Well that ended up being a wild goose chase. I can appreciate the thrill of the hunt and bagging your big game target, but this has gone beyond ridiculous now. In fact, it makes less inclined to patronize some of these brands at all.

    Diagnosed as Type 2 Diabetic

I guess the next big question is just where I should go from here in regards to returning to the hobby. I know what the obvious answer is, but as with so many things in life, that's not always the one we want to hear.

    Diagnosed as Type 2 Diabetic

Finally, after getting back into pipes after a 20+ year absence, I get diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes. When it rains, it really pours.

    Swan Sulphur-Free Vestas

Was just curious as to why these are so hard to get (at least here in the States). Seems to be only one distributor from what I can tell. I know a lot of people really like them, but at $3 for a pack of 45, I'd go broke pretty fast considering the way I relight.

    Cobbit - Elf or Shire

Was looking to add a MM churchwarden to my piperack, and was curious if anyone had any opinions as to which of the two cobbits is the better pipe (I'm assuming that they're both pretty much the same, the primary difference being aesthetics).

    Butane Lighters?

I've been told that the Clipper Mini Tubes are great for pipes, but for some reason, they are extremely difficult to find here in the States. Also, there is now a vendor on Amazon selling the dedicated Clipper Pipe Lighter here in the States, but the reviews for it are decidely more mixed than...

What Are the Benefits to a Bulldog Shape?

There was also a nice Upshall Bulldog that Pipestud had up for sale today as well. I was going to bid on it, but unfortunately credit card bills come first, so maybe another time (plus the fact that I already have a Nielsen Bulldog in the rack gives me a bit of consolation).

Peterson Pipes Has A New Owner.....

When can we expect the first of the new production Peterson's to hit the stores? Always liked the various shapes and lines offered, but the stories regarding the various quality control issues caused me to look elsewhere.
