Welcome from both CT & VT! I’m part time in SW VT near Manchester - What part of the state are you in?

    Mason Jar Labels

This, with a simple description on the side of a mason jar - easy to see when stacked…

    The Pipe Smoker Wars

How about pipes as “tools” vs pipes as “decorations and statements”? Falcons smoke great btw…as do cobs, and Dunhills… ?

    Dogs & Pipes

Love a good dog thread! Here is Maxwell the Boston Terrier. Born with a tuxedo on, so needed a “formal” name. Loves hanging with me inside or outside, smoking my pipe or not!

    MM Pocket Jar

'Embers...I completely missed your "recreational" reference... And, I think you are right as well. But will work well for me for the low dose of brown leaf I consume too! ;)

    MM Pocket Jar

So an 8oz Ball Jar lid fits exactly - FYI... I never saw the "Amusing Accessory" post! Yes - this is definitely for the "casual smoker-traveler" class, of which I am a member...;)

    MM Pocket Jar

Yes! - but a little smaller in diameter, and no "flying saucer" shape - squared off... I'm going to check now if a standard mason jar lid fits...

    MM Pocket Jar

I was recently browsing the MM site for new pipe editions - just randomly. I came across a neat travel tobacco container they call the “Pocket Jar”. I bought two! The lids are laser engraved with the MM logo, and are mason jar lids. The lower is a hard plastic. Less than an inch (23mm), and...

What's Your Favorite Pipe for Backpacking or Camping?

A slightly different suggestion here... Get (or go with) an Army mount pipe. I’m a Peterson 03 and 999/80s fan. Breaks down to a compact unit, easy to clean, and won’t get all swollen if raining or damp. Durable, and not crazy expensive. I love my cobs, and they “fit” the outdoors, but I...

What Are You Listening To? - April, 2021

Sirius XM Chill, Falcon, St. Bruno. Odd...?

***What Are You Smoking, April 2021?***

Have had a tin of St. Bruno Flake hanging around for a couple years, and for some strange reason, today was the day to pop it open. Smoked in the most obvious pipe (Falcon)... Long burner. I need a few more bowls before judgement, but a classic one for sure! Enjoy your evening...?

    Social or Anti-Social Pipe Smoker?

Was gonna do a poll, but I hate polls...so... onto just “discussion”... I prefer my pipe smoking time to be absolutely “anti-social”. Just me, my thoughts, and MAYBE my dog (who doesn’t say much). If I’m smoking socially, it’s a cigar. I get the most enjoyment, flavors, and calmness when I...

When You Like Presbyterian Mixture But You’re Not Reformed

This thread has been awesome... Funny, educational, subliminal, “reserved” humor and commentary - NO lines crossed... Sooo good...don’t close it down just yet!

The Pipe Material You Smoke The Most

50% briar (English, Balkan, VaPers), 50% Cob (Aro & burley, & codger blends). Smoke both sides of the aisle fairly equally. Never an English/Balkan in a cob, but sometimes a Va/VaPer in a cob. Sometimes an Aro in a briar..., but never a burley! MY tastes, of course...
