    Oldies Just as Good?

When I first tried Escuda I liked it but after smoking the entire tin it started giving me a burning sensation on the tongue. Never bought anymore. I need to try CH and Mixture 79.

    Oldies Just as Good?

Dunhill's Dunbar is about as nasty to me as Frog Morton...or any of the Frog Morton's. It don't even smell good. MV-1000, IQ, Autumn Evening, Hefling's Leaf and Louisiana Red are among the best I've tried but, that's only the tip of the ice berg.

    Oldies Just as Good?

I've tried all kinds and still have lots more to savor. I've never smoked Sir Walter Raleigh but aim to try it. I've seen it around as far back as I can remember. I think I'll buy a pouch and try it out. I've tried quite a few I just didn't like from the very get-go...Frog Morton comes to mind.

    Oldies Just as Good?

I've found my taste is fickle in that what I like today may taste like burned wood tomorrow. Escuda was once good but now I can do without it but, Autumn Evening has been most faithful. I never tire of the maple smell.

    Oldies Just as Good?

I've tried no less than 20 blends but none tickle my fancy like Autumn Evening. I have to say Louisiana Red comes close. Hafling's Leaf is another good one.

    Oldies Just as Good?

I remember a fellow on the forum that was totally enthralled with Black House. I need to try that some day.

    Oldies Just as Good?

Anyone like any of the old standbys like Prince Albert, Sir Walter Raleigh, Half n' Half or Captain Black? I took a liking to Captain Black but suppose my favorite will always be Autumn Evening and Lousiana Red.

    The Ultimate Tease

This is just great. Even if you're not an animal lover you'll enjoy it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nGeKSiCQkPw

    Zombies on History Channel

They've all gone to pot. What does Pawn Stars have to do being on the History Channel...stupid. The animal Planet could show better programs other than Gator Boys, Swamp People and that crazy guy Shelby who bites off snake heads.

    Zombies on History Channel

Zombies were something we use to laugh at in those B rated movies from the 50's. They were about as fake as the Godzilla movies and still are. Once you're dead you're dead. I don't fear the dead it's the living that bothers me. :-)

    Zombies on History Channel

Both of them have gone to pot. The regular History channel seldom shows anything about History anymore. H2 is even worse. It seems 70% of the time all they have to show is about "Ancient Aliens". Ice Road Truckers on the History channel? What does that have to do with history?

    Zombies on History Channel

Kids are like puppies...they'll eat anything! :-) That crazy program came on this past Friday at 4:00. Of course, H2 mostly talks about "Ancient Aliens" so, if you believe in that, Zombies are no worse for ware. You have to go back to August 30th at 4:00pm to see where they aired it...

For Those Interested in Old West Trivia

I have a Time Life Book called "Guns of the Gunfighters" and it shows a different picture of Doc Holiday than I've seen with other sources. I guess you can take your pic just like with the photos of Billy the Kid. One thing's for sure. All the photos I've seen of John Wesley Hardin have been the...

    Zombies on History Channel

Did anyone see that stupid program on H2 History channel last night about zombies? They really played it up and I think after watching about 15 minutes of it they were really serious about the reality of those things. I thought it was a joke but one guy kept going on about what he had to survive...
