    Tobacco Reviews Website Update

Today I found I can upvote my own reviews. Yay. No zero-upvoted reviews on Tobaccoreviews from now on. What an achievement. What a joke of a previously great website.

    Who Loves Dan Aromatics?

Well, if you like Dan aromatics, then you must have a pretty "European" taste (me, in my turn, I have an "English" one, so no much rave from me about Dan tobaccos). Those two Turkish blends are as far from anything European / English / American as it can be. Actually, those blends are rebranded...

    Who Loves Dan Aromatics?

Gladora's Pesse Canoe Latakia and Oriental Flakes, I assume? Tried both recently. I'd better stick with Dan aromatics, if that's the only other choise available.

    Carbonized Estate Pipe

Salt is not merely an inert absorber as cotton balls are, it creates negative osmotic pressure that actively "sucks" dissolved tar out of the cake, so it's not interchangable with cotton which just passively absorbs the goo. Cotton will work of course but salt will work better.

How Do The New Parker Pipes Smoke?

Congrats! Does it have an oval stem, I can't see for sure? It looks a bit different than my two JC 42. Mine have round stems and thicker bowl walls and stampings on the sides, not underneath. They must have changed the model a bit in the last 10 years.

    Tobacco Reviews Website Update

Account password is reset, now I can see no reviews whatsoever. I was saving my own reviews to a text file on my PC, so no big deal. But what about the rest, the loss of access to which is a big deal indeed? Thank you guys for "fixing" what wasn't broken :(

U.K. Smoking Pipe Law... is this legal?

You don't even need to bother a friend with helping you with your purchase. There are special services for that. Google for "parcel forwarding service". There are several in the UK. For a small fee they would receive and forward to you (or even buy for you from their own ebay account) whatever...

How Do The New Parker Pipes Smoke?

Good choise. I'm sure you'll like your Parker Zulu.

How Do The New Parker Pipes Smoke?

My impression is that the new British-made Hardcastles are better made than Parkers (f.ex., my Parker Bent Bulldog's shank is somewhat warped, as if they stretched and slightly twisted it, while the Hardcastle Bulldog cut is impeccable), although Hardcastles don''t look as elegant.

How Do The New Parker Pipes Smoke?

I have several newish (10-12 years old) Parker pipes, three Zulus and a Bent Bulldog from Jockey Club and Bruyere series, all bought from Smoke-King UK. Far from being just "basket pipes", for sure. Not on pair with even the lower lines of Peterson, either. Overall, decent manufacturing and...

    Finally a Nic Hit

A very satisfying read on how someone has had a healthy, proper smoke! I have a high Nicotine tolerance too. I still haven't tried the Rustica blend yet and I wish so much to try it once! Alas, it's an Unobtainium here. I grow some plants of Mapacho (which is the Rustica species) in my...

American Soldier Jumps Over to N. Korea..

I've heard, the American Military is now obsessed with "diversity" (mainly of the LGBTABCD kind) in their ranks above any other thing. By chance, isn't the hero of the story one of those precious acquisitions to the US armed forces?

    Corona Old Boy? Worth it?

I have a Clipper pipe lighter too. I use it instead of my crippled Peterson. A nice lighter indeed! The only thing, after having worked out the original flintstone, the Clipper came to ignite only 1 time in 10 to 20 strikes. Tired of a blister on my thumb, I replaced the original wheel with...

    Corona Old Boy? Worth it?

My Peterson's strike wheel dulled afrer 3 years of use (Zippo and IM flints only) rendering the lighter barely usable. I don't know if IM Corona's wheel is any better, but I'm sort of disappointed with my Peterson.
