    First Tobacco You Bought?

Carter hall was the pouch first I ever bought - I still smoke it on occasion went hunting or fishing. Nightcap was the first tin I ever bought - man that changed my world! It was my first venture into English-style blends and I remember the tin note was overwhelming to me at first that it took...

    Past Pipe Bowl Winners

Hey everyone, Is there somewhere where there is a record of past pipe show tobacco winners? I know John Cottons Double Pressed won the Chicago Bowl last year but I couldn't find anything else online. Thanks!

    Tobacconist in Glasgow, Scotland

Was in Glasgow about a year ago. Robert Graham 1874 has a decent selection of GH and Germain bulks, tins, and plugs for pipe tobacco but is more of a franchise than a B & M. The pipe shop is the place to go in Scotland though!

    Flavor Spectrum of Burleys

Love Lane RR! Havent tried Chatham yet. Anyone have any thoughts on burley subtypes? I see whites, indonesians, malawi burley often referenced in reviews and was unsure if any of these contribute to flavor profiles

    Flavor Spectrum of Burleys

I have been exploring Burley blends lately in a quest to find my "go to" burley blend. I usually tend to favor burleys with oat, molasses, marshmallow, and/or cocoa-like characteristics Blends that I have found really meet this definition include: 656 aged burley flake, prince albert, carter...

    OTC burley blends - differences?

Here are the comparisons of the ones I have tried: PA: More oat-like, earthier burley blend CH: Still burley based I get more hints of tea and cocoa from this - possibly from the alcohol topping - some people find the initial charring light off putting LL RR: Sweeter to me then the other 2...
