Filter Or No Filter?
I have filtered pipes, non-filtered pipes, and Peterson system pipes. They all smoke with the same flavor if using a good tobacco. The filtered ones smoke a little drier, and the System pipes smoke the driest, just better moisture management.- Bobby Bailey

Best "Bulk" Navy Flake/Straight VA Flake
I did a nose test, using my very unlearned nose, of several W.C. Va. blends. 558 smells much like the others. 558 is the only one of theirs that I stove first to bring out a deeper flavor. I ranch and raise cattle for a living, so I'm probably partial to that "fertilizer" smell ;) .- Bobby Bailey

Where Do You Usually Smoke?
I do most of my smoking outdoors, for me, it simply goes with my enjoyment of the woods and fields. If it's rainy or cold, then in my gunshop or ranch shop.- Bobby Bailey

While true for some epoxies, there are a few that I have used over many years that have a long shelf life both before and after opening. Thanksgiving Piping
We usually have our Thanksgiving get-together at the barn on a lake on our land. But, this year it was going to rain, so we had it at the ranch shop. After the meal, I loaded my 9s Peterson with Rhythm and Blues, and my son and my brother lit up some really nice cigars.- Bobby Bailey
