@folanator. I do believe it is just the grain of the block. I have a couple pipes that exhibit the bottom half and i have one that exhibits the crackle appearance on the bowl- blackop555

Meerschaum Cleaning and Moisture Question
I searched for a couple hours can't find much on the subject as follows. I have a tall meerschaum so it holds allot so the bottom gets quite full of aromatic tobacco moisture after a two hour smoke. I clean the dottle out. The pipe cleaner doesn't touch bottom of bowl so it doesn't get the...- blackop555

Hello all. I recently purchased an unstamped chacom pipe online.i have not received it yet. I am curious as to why it is not stamped. Most seconds i have seen have some kind of stamp. The stem has the cc on the stem. It appears to belong to the pipe. Would just like more knowledge on this...- blackop555
