    Frog Morton’s Cellar Question

Thank you! This is very helpful. I actually want to sell some that I have. I’ll post on the right channel in the forum! Thanks again.

    Frog Morton’s Cellar Question

Hi! I’ve been away from the forum for a couple of years! Glad to be back. I understand that McClelland is no more, which renders their pricing higher than retail (not that I can find any). Can you give me any guidance on how much 100g tins of Frog Morton’s Cellar (2016) could be obtained for -...

    Updates on New Regulations

Hey there! I've been away from the forums and generally from the news for quite a while now. Just puffing away :-). I'm sure there are a ton of threads about this already but for some reason I couldn't find anything recent. Are we still on for a significant number of blends to disappear soon...

    Your Smoke in Pictures

@jpmcwjr I've been on a classic literature crusade for a while :-). Having spent 40 years strictly reading science, philosophy, and generally non fiction I discovered that I've been a fool. I attribute it to maturity. I'm glad I started reading them at this age since I probably wouldn't have had...

    4noggins shipping

So I guess it was just a lucky strike then. I was so thrilled when I went downstairs to find a box fetched by my wife from the community mailbox! I had been waiting for this since its got Temple Bar and Regents Flake which I've been weaving all sorts of fantasies about. Let me say they didn't...

    4noggins shipping

Greetings Pipers! Its been a while :-)... Miss you all. Just curious about 4noggins shipping to Canada. My last order was shipped on the 30th and was in my mail box yesterday (the 2nd). For the past few years it used to take on average 2 weeks. Is this a fortunate one off event of expediency or...

    The Brotherhood of pipe smokers

I had the pleasure of visiting shikano53 2 nights ago in his "Man Garage". Fate had it that business takes me 20 kms away from where he lives (which is about 2000 kms away from where I live!). As usual, the pattern of pipe smokers' generosity, depth of character, and just overall goodness...

    Hot smoking pipe tips

I can confirm that crackling dry tobacco smokes much smoother. A bowl of out of the tin (semi dried) Stratford smoked too hot while a really dry bowl of from the same tin (dried for a few hours) smokes much better. I'll try more in the next few days to see if the hypothesis holds. Thanks for the...

Warren, if its steam then dry baccy should be a good place to start. On it.

    Hot smoking pipe tips

    - Its one among an arsenal :-) - Pretty sure its not the smoker as he gets mighty fine smokes elsewhere from same tins. - Its fairly well broken in (good cake formation) - How the heck do you measure a draft hole :-)? (btw, its got a fairly open draw) - It actually has very thick walls.

    Hot smoking pipe tips

I have this gorgeous 4th generation pipe but it tends to smoke hot. Any suggestions what I can do to coax good flavour out of it? Hot air is difficult to taste :-).

    Samuel Gawith FVF water content!

Thank you all for the input. I ended up spreading the flakes on a piece of paper for about 4 hours then I cube cut them all. From there I rubbed the cubes very very well and left in an open jar for another few hours. I'm smoking a bowl of it now and its very nice! Thanks again. PS: For some...

    Samuel Gawith FVF water content!

This is my second SG blend and I can't help but notice how much water is in there. Why are these products like that and what would be an average dry time? I know FVF has a huge following so there must be a way to make it smokable :-)
