    Blended Scotch Suggestions

I enjoy Scotch... blended or single malt. Admittedly, my palate isn't very discriminating so I find little value in spending big bucks. Famous Grouse and Dewars White Label do the trick for me. Johnnie Walker Black is quite good but for just a few dollars more, I prefer Double Black. Another in...

(Review) 4 Noggins Bald Headed Teacher

They say there is no flavoring but I swear I catch a hint of vanilla. What could that be?

(Review) 4 Noggins Bald Headed Teacher

Just ordered a few ounces... Came today... Am smoking a bowl now. Very pleasant taste. Cool. Easy light and burn. Eager for my wife to come home so she can tell me if she likes the room note. Seems a great blend for folks wanting to move away from aromatics.

A Characteristic for all the Dunhill Blends I've Tried

I just opened a tin of London Mixture that's been in my cellar since last April. Not really sure why I waited so long to try it. I find it on the milder side, compared to Nightcap but with more interesting flavors than the very mild EMP. I've smoked 4 bowls so far and have no complaints...

A "manly" poem that mentions smoking a pipe.

The Call By: Earl H. Emmons Did you ever have a longin’ to get out and buck the trail, And to face the crashin’ lightnin’ and the thunder and the gale? Not for no partic’lar reason but to give the world the laugh, And to show the roarin’ elyments you still can stand the gaff. Don’t you ever...

Sutliff - Find Your Perfect Blend Computer Quiz

Got Blend 5 too: A robust English blend with character. Plenty of Latakia, Pressed Virginia, and Burley provide the base. Like many people, when I first started smoking I chose aromatics but after getting a taste of the others, aros have taken a back seat.

Cool... been about a year for me too. Although I haven't had as much time to be on here lately as I would like.

New pipe smoker here, having troubles

Welcome! I was a newbie about this time one year ago. Haven't been around much lately but learned a lot from the gentlemen here. Practice makes perfect... Well, maybe not perfect but you'll find in a few months that packing, lighting and keeping lit will become almost second nature. Pipe smoking...

    St. Augustine, FL Pipe Club

Tobacco Cove - one on Baymeadows and one on Roosevelt. I've visited both. Baymeadows has larger selection of pipes. The owners are nice and helpful but I feel like I'm an intruder at a private cigar club whenever I go in there. My wife buys Lamp Berger supplies from them on occasion when we eat...

    St. Augustine, FL Pipe Club

mediumtom, I tried to find this club last year but was unsuccessful. I'm in Jacksonville (south) and don't know of any clubs in the area. There are 2 B&M shops that advertise that they cater to pipe smokers but when I've gone in all I've met are a few cigar smokers. I've only seen one person...
