What?!?? I also thought the deliverer was swinging by to drop it off! That's why I got a nice Chianti and some Fava Beans. I was going to have them for dinner, but now that plan is shot to hell. Dang it.
Was pleasantly surprised to find in today's post a package from my secret Santa. Included in the package were a few tins of tobacco, a couple sample bags, always useful pipe cleaners, a small pipe, and a small bottle of Whisky. Som Besths!
Finally had some down time to open my box. Som Besths I tell ya it’s on point. Currently puffing away on the well aged FVF. Those bulging tins are calling out to be popped next. Thank you SS!!

An unexpected package came from LJ Peretti today, I wasn't totally sure that it was the SS or an order I'd forgotten or they'd sent by accident. Only way to find out is to open it! Inside:
A sample of this year's Yuletide, which I really wanted to try but missed the midnight drop, and a Whole Entire Paint Can of Blend W, which may be my favorite LJP burley. Hidden here is pipe cleaners, 'cause no one ever has enough. And a very kind card from my SS.
To paraphrase that dedicated pipe smoker, Gimli the Dwarf: "Most noble sir, it leaves me deeply in your debt!"
Grateful to the spirit of Som Besthes and for all the collective knowledge, wisdom, and horse--assery of this bunch!
