Old empty tins I found last year

I found these last year while working in a lady’s attic. I think I posted them on Reddit at the time, but I was just going going through older photos and thought some folks here might appreciate them. The man had taste, I asked the lady who the pipe smoker was, and she said it was her recently departed husband, God bless them both.

Gallahers made my favorite snuff Wit and Wisdom. It was an almost toast with just the tiniest whisp of menthol. Sub medicinal amounts of menthol. It reminded me of how just enough salt doesn't taste salty but sharpens and enhances the inherent flavors of the food. I imagine if they had that deft touch with snuff that I bet their pipe blends were incredible too.

I sure wish I had known, I like a vintage tin for travel, or storage, but mostly being able to keep history up and alive and not wind up in recycling

I remember seeing someone post about using old tins creatively to decorate a man cave/smoking corner.

Personally love the block lettering designs on those Mac Baren Latakia tins.
