Cornell and Diehl Now Available In The Uk!

Forum member @Toast alerted me to the fact that some C&D blends are now available in the UK.

The 9 Blends currently available are:

Bayou Night
Bayou Morning
Bijou
Opening Night
Autumn Evening
Star of the East
Sunday Picnic
Black Frigate
Dreams of Kadath

This got me wondering what blends people would like to see them introduce over here. I personally would love to see Blockade Runner (love that stuff) and some of the small batch releases. I think there's zero chance on that last one but you never know. It would be incredible to be able to buy Carolina Red Flake over here. I've got some in the cellar that I ordered from the US but they cost me a pretty penny once customs duties and taxes were added.

The C&D blends are currently selling for £22.49 over at GQ Tobaccos, which I think is very reasonable.

I'm a big fan of Interlude with at least 2 years on it. Haven't tried Opening Night yet. Are they similar? I would guess Interlude is softer given the honey.

I've got a 7 year old tin in the cellar but I haven't tried it yet. I'll get around to opening it eventually but i've got far too many tins/jars open at the moment so i'm trying to run them down into a more manageable number.

Carolina Red with perique was available in Germany. As was Sunbear, Sansepolcro and a few others small batch. So who knows?

Wow, I didn't know that. That's really cool as i'd love to try some of those. It's so awesome to finally see C&D in the Uk. The past few years have seen so many blends dissappear from the UK market so it's grest news when anything new appears. The fact it's C&D makes it even better. Obviously we'll never get the entire US range but anything new is very welcome news.

Yes, more blends is always better! Looks like the C&D lineup in UK is similar to the one in Germany, mostly their staple blends I assume. Would love to have access to sunday picnic though

Another good thing is that GQ Tobaccos are selling these blends loose as well as in tins. So you can buy 10g of any of these blends for £4.80 and that way you can give them a try without shelling out for a full tin.
