The second pipe i was happy to open, awaiting my return, was a new-to-me Pete Deluxe PSB.
This was a replacement for the Newgrange i bought new during the SP sale. Smoked it a few times and then this happened - bowl failure:
That's not flash glare...it's an ashy white spot:
This shot clearly shows the burn out in the inside of the bowl due to a weak spot in the briar:
So now, onto the new Deluxe PSB with a bowl of Penny Farthing.

Enjoying a little snacking, and have passed the quarter mark of this bowl of year 2021 Erik Stokkebye 4th Generation Evening Flake in a smooth medium bend 2021 Peterson Ebony POTY 4AB No. 422/500 military mount with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem. Ice water and bergs is my drink.

MB Virginia Flake in a Pete PSB Strand
A quarter of the way through this bowl of year 2014 Esoterica Tilbury in a straight smooth Danish gold straight grain undated W.O. Larsen Hand Made in Denmark dublin with a tapered black vulcanite stem. This pipe is from the estate of David Cuneo. Watching the Orioles-Guardians game with Sleepy Suzy by my side. Molly Danger is in the den, and was especially demanding about getting head and back scratches, and chasing catnip balls. She's finally settled down.

It has an excellent taste being earthy with hints of wood. A little sweetness but not overly sweet and plenty of nicotine .

Samuel Gawith in Bari de Luxe. First time seeing this many cristals. I don’t understand too much about this phenomenon. Was i lucky with this tin?
Bloom or Plume, it's a crystallization of the sugars and oils in the tobacco, I've had it happen to cigars and have always considered it a good thing/sign of correct humidity and storage.
