Going to update both of my two homemix projects in Skippable Drivel below this mornings' featured picture. No morning smoke but am currently chewing (often start my day with a wad), this morning's "smoke" being a good pinch of Sir Walter Raleigh Pipe Tobacco, which as I have mentioned before, is very very tasty indeed. My shenanigans of the day are below the pic, which is a snap of my Oriental leaves drying out over a forced air heat register, in the true spirit of experimentation. Oh yeah . . . . SWR chew goes great with a morning cup of hot coffee, which I brew each day, then turn off the coffee maker and let the stuff go cold, which is my preference.

Skippable Drivel: I've already mentioned that I've smoked the bone dried leaves from my two unknown type oriental plants, which Josh started in his greenhouse and gave me two large potted specimens which I've posted in bloom several times. I've also mentioned that the dried leaves tasted very sweet, similar in sweetness but more pronounced than the Kasturi leaves contained in Mad Fiddler. So far so good.

The next stage in my mudpie making is drying out five green leaves, (shown), and being the impatient type, am using a heat register to do so. That ends the update on the Oriental leaves. To be continued when I smoke the dried out, yellow leaves in a less dessicated condition that the originals.

Update on Grape Cigar Project: I published my final intentions regarding the batch which was done in a 4:1 mix, and indeed the 5:1 mix was very smokeable, and I'll keep a jar on hand for an occasional afternoon smoke.

I have another keeper. The as of then unsmoked 5:1 mix of Borkum Riff Dark with the tobaccofied Phillies Blunt Grape, imho, is a definite keeper. The plum/prune infusion my favourite aro-codger blends beautifully with the grape flavouring of the cigar tobacco, and to my tastes is very nice indeed - about a 6 on the hardness scale, as compared to a 5 (my scale) of the original tobacco. I'll be making a jar or two of this on hand. You might want to try this if you have this tobacco on hand. It's definitely worth a few pinches of BK Dark and a cheap grape cigar. There ya go. Cigar project finished, and Oriental Project to be updated in future posts. Cheers and have a good Tuesday. I'm off to do some shopping, lol. What for? Only the Shadow Knows! 😁

Chenet’s cake in my very special Satou pipe. I generally smoke it when I feel like celebrating something. I got my CAC renewed today till 2028 for a new work project. It’s not exactly a perfect fit, but I’m happy to have to work right now, with the market as it is and the current budget changes currently happening in the DoD. Hope everyone is hanging tight!

Did a set of walking reps, and smoked a bowl of year 2016 D&R Three Sails in a slight bent black pattern etched 1977 Lorenzo Lorsan Sigma level top billiard with a gray swirl acrylic saddle stem.

Then, I enjoyed a tasty lunch, and am smoking first release Watch City Rhythm & Blues in a black sandblasted straight 1998 XXX Ashton Pebble Grain lovat with a black acrylic saddle stem. Coffee from a freshly opened bag of Gold Star Peruvian Macchu Picchu, neat, is my drink. Going to be interviewed today about pipe tobacco so I'll be off line for a bit.

Having Newminster No. 403 Superior Round Slices in a Comoy’s Elegance 229 Bulldog with translucent, yellow swirled stem (three-piece C). One of the “problems” of having a lot of pipes is that it takes a long time to go through a rotation—it’s been a little over three years since I smoked this combination.

This angle shows the stem off a bit better.

Got home to a lovely parcel from a friend I've made on this forum. We did a cellar swap for things each of us wanted to try and I'm blow away by his generosity!

I'm about to try a bowl of Sir Walter Raleigh Aromatic in my Moretti Devil Anse while I get some chores done outside.
