There is a patch of freeway on my commute that is pretty shielded from the winds so I got to enjoy about a half a Sweet Jane cigarillo.

KBV Burly Morning Pipe in an Old Dominion Virginia Planter cob. I dried the blend for 3 hours to “Extra Crunchy” which worked wonders against 70% humidity and let the topping evaporate off to “light note” levels. Zero steam. This morning it was St. Bruno RR. Opened the bag in June, left it simply rolled up and still dried it for 3 hours last night and it was just right today.

Starting off my smoking day with a bowl of pre-2014 Edward G. Robinson's Pipe Blend in a 2014 Basil Meadows smooth slight bend squashed tomato with an aluminum band and a black pearl acrylic stem in the military mount style. Fed Sleepy Suzy and Molly Danger, and then I fed all the ferals who were waiting for one of us to wake up. There was no drama from all of that, so I consider the day is off to a good start. Ice water and bergs is my drink.

On my way to work. A new one for me today. G&H Grasmere in a Sasieni Two Dot. This tastes just okay. Actually, that’s not true. It’s an excellent blend of Virginia and Burley. The Burley adds some depth and strength, but I was looking for a floral essence and I’m not getting any from this one.

Smoking a bowl of Bob's turd Flake in this rather nice and very ancient meerschaum short 'cutty' pipe circa 1880s with replacement amber stem. This was the late @weezel's pipe who I believe was given it by @ashdigger and which was originally found by me for @ashdigger about eight years ago so it is a much traveled pipe! I am drinking a cup of coffee from my nice new Standard Tobacco of PA coffee cup that features the @woodsroad 'Happy Derrick' logo which can also be purchased on French Tickler prophylactics featuring the War Horse logo and slogan 'Tastes like shit! Buy Some!. If you are into unusual sexual practices this might actual be true but this is not the forum to discuss such matters! Lane Very Cherry in a Country Gentleman cob today.




Strangely I seem to have just lost my taste for strong dark fired blends the past couple weeks, so 1792 Flake, Coniston Cut Plug, and Brown Bogie have all been gathering dust on the shelf while I smoke Captain Black Original and Lane Very Cherry every day instead. I'm thinking I might pick up pouches of Borkum Riff Mixture with Bourbon Whiskey and Five Brothers this afternoon, just to try something new and shake up my palate a bit.

Is it ok to smoke C&D Autumn Evening when it's Winter? It doesn't matter! I'm a rebel! I have some in a meer.

A few of us would say it's not smokeable either Autumn, Winter, Spring or Fall, but hey . . . . you go right ahead, eh? It's okay as a chew, but needs some added burley for that purpose.
