I was ecstatic -- placed the order and then they called me saying they had literally just had it open for ten seconds for testing and I happened to refresh in that exact window. They are holding the order until Monday when actually released.

I honestly see a slow down on all these small batch releases so I don't think it will sell out that quickly. Maybe it is due to people still having cellared tins of the past releases.

Looking forward to this. I've only tried Mountain Flower and Tupelo, and completely enjoyed them both, but prefer the Tupelo. I find it more earthy, less sweet and tangy. As others have noted, for some reason they both are better in a cob than a briar, for me.

Probably on Sunday or possibly tomorrow night. I've smoked two bowls, and because I am very familiar with this blend, it isn't a hard one to write. But, I'd like to smoke more just to make sure of my thoughts.

Well, I tried to log on to Smoking Pipes to buy some Sun Bear Black Locust at 6:15pm EST (it was released at 6pm) and the site was down due to high traffic volume. Sold out at Watch City and Iwan Ries, too. So, I kept googling and found 6 tins on an obscure cigar site at full retail of $16 each, plus shipping.

Let’s hope the hype lives up to the frenzied demand.
