Warm and wet in these parts today. Record rain for the day yesterday, but .33 inch was a far cry from the threatened 2"! Still more to come for the next few days though. Comfortable on the porch with Storm Front mixed with Three Sails, in the Pete Short Army Pot and coffee.

KBV Mycroft in my "Scottie". From the look and smell of this when I opened the bag, I thought it was just repackaged GH&Co. Kendal Kentucky, but it's oh so much more. Great review on this one @JimInks! Though I wonder if this version still contains Yenidje? Stout stuff. Excellent!

Having some Semois (Reserve du Patron) in my burley pipe right now.



I feel like this would be a good tobacco for newbies, in many ways. The purchase price of $28 seems steep, but it’s a decent value because you’re not paying for any water. Because it’s so dry, it’s very tolerant of the newbie’s tendency to pack tightly (indeed, it helps), and it lights and stays lit really well. There is enough flavor that one doesn’t need to hunt for it, but it doesn’t bite if one smokes it too hard, either.

Sounds like it shares some traits with Five Brothers! It's also dry and smokes well pack pretty tight! I think I'm gonna add it to the wish list I'm building up!
