Oh boy, can't wait to see what that turns into but I'm loving the generous proportions.
It'll be fifth in the set but I'm already seeing a favorite.
Is the rustication on all four sides?
Yes it is.
That's gotta have lots of tactile appeal!
I find all the #33 shapes do as they have such a generous bowl (2/2.5 hour smoke) that fits my hand so well but I agree, smooth to blast sensation should be very nice under the finger tips.

Its a La Fuma so a SJ second but Ive a number of those and they smoke as good as the ones that are not. Often its really hard to find the flaw. I think some are design changes to work around a briar flaw.

I treated myself to this Castello Occhio De Pernice Bluegrassbrian was selling. It's been seven or eight years since I bought myself a Christmas pipe. I'm sucker for the ODP's.
The one with the straight grain (sort of) would have been my choice of pipes.
Resistance was futile. More pipes on order! Merry Christmas to me!
The visual depth of that grain is amazing!
@doug535 author is my gift to myself - I was on the shelf last week, back to work but not back to any bowls and haven’t had a chance to really post up anything - here’s a pic from when it showed up right before Thanksgiving. Hefty feel and generous chamber.
