I continue to be so impressed with this pipe. From the beginning it seemed to smoke whatever I put in it perfectly. Sitting outside the past 45 minutes, I have tamped once and never had to relight.
Almost a third of the way through this bowl of year 2012 Rolando’s Own in a smooth straight early ‘60s Lane era “William Conrad” Charatan Executive Extra Large stretch apple with diagonal channel cuts on the lower right and left of the bowl along with a black vulcanite double comfort saddle stem. Ice water and bergs is my drink for a while.
Early afternoon bowl of Cringle Flake 2022 now in true flake pipe, namely a Burak Connoisseur smooth Tankard with straight tapered stem size 2. Started to pick up subtle flavors. Still no bell ringer but hopeful aging will do the trick. Now, preprandial bowl of dependable Peterson Elizabethan Mixture in an Upshall P smooth Dublin with saddle stem; picking up incense undertones, just marvelous after Cringle and EMP.
