I finally tracked down a nice example (apart from the poorly retouched logo on the stem) a Longchamp Pony Hair Leather Wrapped pipe that wasn't bald. This one has an oval chamber. I figured I had to smoke Cornell & Diehl Pegasus in it. Giddyap!
Starting off my smoking day with a bowl from a freshly opened tin of year 2014 Edward G. Robinson's Pipe Blend in a 2014 Basil Meadows smooth slight bend squashed tomato with an aluminum band and a black pearl acrylic stem in the military mount style. Ice water and bergs is my drink. Watching Mad Dog Russo.
Did a set of walking reps, and am close to finishing this bowl of year 2016 D&R Three Sails in an undated straight brush etched black Molina apple with a nickel band and a black tapered vulcanite stem.
Now smoking year 2017 Velvet in a tan sandblasted paneled quarter bend 2001 Rinaldo Sahara 2 scoop with a pointed front and a tapered black acrylic stem.
Delightful Derringer in anMM Marcus with the short stem replaced by a 3 1/4" stem. This is as close to a church warden as I care to get. The small Dublin bowl is just right for a 45 minute smoke.
Reading a Jack Reacher novel and trying to get that pipsqueek Tom Cruise's image out of my brain!
