Thanks again for passing along the "Mug Warmer" technique. (Along with a thank you to Cosmicfolklore) Works likes charm on the coast. My addition to the technique comes from years of working in bars, put 3-4 pennies under the bottom edge of the jar or tin to keep it off the direct heat. Trick used to keep coffee fresh tasting for hours.

I'm going to use that penny trick. Great idea!

Had to drive 150 miles round trip for a doctor's appointment yesterday and while there stopped at a B&M that just opened. Mostly cigars, but had a few tins of pipe tobacco, so picked up a couple 3.5 oz tins for $12.80 each.

I have not, but I am adding it to the list, thanks for the recommendation!
The 2oz bulk blends are ones I have not tried yet, but saw many recommend them.
