Three Friars is a go to blend for me. I enjoy va’s primarily, but the condimentAl proportion of burley in the blend is very satisfying as my first pipe of the day. Probably due to my overnight loss of nicotine.
Derringer and Three Friars are most often in my pipes, and as time puts the fading memory of Three Nuns away, Three Friars will outlive the inaccurate comparisons.
Both of these blends are highly underrated! Thanks for the post.
Sorry but others will have to tell you of similar blends.

It's my understanding that Cornell & Diehl Three Nuns was an attempt to replicate the old Bell's Three Nuns. The current versions of Three Nuns substitute Dark Fired Kentucky for the perique.
