So my 2021 J. Everett Santa pipe arrived! He always finds a way to surprise me with a commission and he pulled out all of the stops with this one!

Out of the shipping box I find a wooden box.


Upon opening the box it begins to play the song, "Sleigh Ride".


A beautiful Christmas green and red pipe sock.


And, the pipe!?


And with it's past siblings.


All three can fit in the box with their tamper.?

These are always great fun, even though I’m always nervous coming up with the execution. Mr. Embers has been a customer of mine since six months after I started making pipes. He put a lot of faith in me. That first Santa pipe from 2019 was barely a year after I started. My first of his “make me a pipe that feels like Santa in (this situation)” pipe commissions. To say I was a frayed nerve during that commission is an understatement. Honestly, though, I’ve found the way he gives me freedom in these commissions has really helped my confidence, and pushed me to be a better pipe maker. So, thanks, buddy. Here’s to many more pipes, and our continuing friendship. Merry Christmas!
