McClelland Tawny Flake in a Stanwell 86.

@sablebrush52 I'm down to the last two bowls or so in the tin. Having been open for 17 months, it's now at a perfect dryness! :LOL:

Drying in the tin this slowly almost seems more like a "curing" than drying. All of the initial MC red difficulties have vanished. As long as a civilized cadence is maintained, it is an impeccable smoke.

Some years back I found a couple of boxes of SG St James Flake that I had forgotten about. They had been sitting for 2 years and the contents had dried down to a perfect smoking moisture. I jarred the flakes and after another 5 years have started enjoying them. They have aged to perfection, with a beautiful sweetness to the Virginias. I think the slow drying did some good.
