Earlier this a.m. tried a Jose Piedra Petit Cazador. Was curious about the short-filler cheapo. Flavor was kinda like if you piled a handful of mediocre Cuban leaves onto a gas grill, cranked the flame up to high, and came back to huff the remnants about 7 minutes later.
Followed by this Joya de Nicaragua Antaño Dark Corojo (Peligroso). Pretty okay. Bitter burnt coffee. Definitely prefer the core line. The boots belong to my mother. She likes the smell of cigars (reminds her of my grandfather).

I think the tradition on those Toscano dry cured cigars is to cut them in half.

I've got quite a few Macanudo Cafe, Macanudo Inspirado Orange, and Arturo Fuente 8-5-8 sticks in my humidor, so I've been smoking those. Also smoked some Aging Room Quattro Nicaraguas recently and they were excellent.

Absolutely right, it is called ammezzato. If I have enough time, I just smoke the whole cigar. If I am busy, I may even leave it aside, and relight when I come back.
I like smoking them whole, too. Makes them more panatela than petit corona.

Now smoking an LFD Double Ligero lancero. Need to get more LFDs, and think I should get some Coronados and El Jockos (Los jockos?) in the maduro.

Le Gran Llave by AJ Fernandez. I really have never been disappointed by AJ,smoked his Last Call Geniales for several years, Enclave and New World are good smokes also.

Aging Room F59 from a friend. I really enjoy having an afternoon cigar after I do my morning routine (run around the lake a few times, make some deliveries, have lunch). It's going to suck when I go back to working someplace where I'm actually expected to be onsite for 8+straight hours  Unless I find the place that lets me take a 2 hour run and eat lunch and smoke at my desk. Fingers crossed!
