Our Featured Interview tonight is Part II with Neill Archer Roan. Neill is a pipe community celebrity. In the opening "Pipe Parts" segment, Brian will do his first tobacco review on Dunhill’s Ye Olde Signe. Sit back, relax with your pipe, and enjoy The Pipes Magazine Radio Show!

Tonight’s show is sponsored by SmokingPipes.com, Cornell & Diehl, and Savinelli Pipes and Tobaccos. Please give them some consideration when making your next pipe or tobacco purchase.

  • Congratulations on your efforts of 5 years, Brian and Company.
I enjoyed the discussion with Mr. Roan, immensely. I liked the music.
The rant, ah, the rant. “Rant Time” with Brian Levine. The comments that leak out from Brian in many a program, alluding to stereotypes of the beleaguered piper, not least of which is the inclusion of this segment.
If you must rant, why not do it right in the beginning? Then we can all cool down, and unwind with a bowl and the discussion, rather than leave us with that nasty taste at the end?
I wonder what Aromatic Latakia blend we should get for Brian?
    (he jests)

  • I didn’t manage to find the podcast RSS subscription button on this webpage anywhere (Hope that doesn’t make me into a Dead Snake Handler!) but found it easily enough on the iTunes Store. Episodes are downloading as I listen to the accidentally-double-clicked-on Episode #8.

  • A fine episode. The original Ye Olde Signe by Dunhill was a sublime tobacco. It will be very difficult for another manufacturer to match it but I guess they’re fortunate that today they are not asked to do that. The artwork of the original is quite lovely. Let’s hope the new maker at least tries to copy that.
Neill Archer Roan continues to shine as a guest. He really published some wonderful photos of pipes on his blog. It is a real shame that he doesn’t blog anymore.
A Rant about a furniture store is like shooting fish in a barrel. May as well indict the whole furniture industry.
