Let me start by explaining to those of you who haven’t read my post from yesterday.  I woke up and searched my house and car up and down and couldnt find my tamper.  I have given up hope that I will ever see it again due to the fact that I truly believe that there is a pipe smoking gremlin that follows me around and picks up my stuff when I lay it down.  Now mind you, I have not seen this gremlin, but I am real sure he is there.  So I asked my father if he wanted to head down to the local tobacco shop and look for a tamper and he was willing to oblige me.

  As I picked up two nail tampers, my attention was caught by a Zippo pipe lighter.  I have to admit, I am much like a crow, I get attracted real easy to objects that shine and sparkle.  Anyway, I am losing track, I was drawn to this Zippo Case like moth to a flame.  My father saw this and kind of hovered in behind me to see what I was looking at.  I have been wanting to buy myself a pipe lighter since I picked up my first pipe in Iraq. 

  So Dad told me to ask the guy behind the counter to see the lighter.  As he pulled out the Zippo, he grabbed a Colibri also.  He told me to look at the Colibri also.  He went on to tell me the great accomplishments of the Colibri company and how good of a lighter I was holding in my hand.  I finally told the salesman that I was really just interested in the Zippo because of the lifetime warranty that Zippo offers.  He kept on telling me about the Colibri and would have none of me taking the Zippo.

  I finally told him that I just wanted the Zippo.  I have a Colibri cigar torch and I bought it at the time because I like the torch system Colibri uses.  He finally stopped talking and said okay.  I was not impressed with the way that he was pushing the lighter, but I understood.  The Colibri was about $15.00 more than the Zippo and I am guessing this guy worked for commission from the store.

 So in short, I ended up picking up a couple of nail tampers and a lighter.  So all in all, a bad weekend is slowly turning into a good one.
