I hear or read about other men being harrased about:

where they are allowed to smoke in the house
the wife, significant other or children objecting to tobacco smells (seems to be usually latakia)
spending too much money on pipes
and a host of other complaints relating to pipe smoking

I am blessed, my wife only has one objection

I was smoking with my dad last night. My dad was telling me about how my mother wouldn’t let him smoke in the house. He is usually compulsive about cleanliness and neatness so this surprised me. I asked him if he really wanted to smoke in the house. He said “No, but sometimes you have to make them feel like they have won something so they feel like they owe you something later.”
