This is a group for all those who love straight Virginia’s and Virginia / Periques … Here we can discuss everything from favourite blends, blending houses, even cultivation.

This club is made up exclusively of those who buy and smoke only flake tobacco.
Also, we do not smoke any tobacco with stinky, fake sprayed-on flavours such as cheery or peach or rum (rum is ok if it’s real rum soaked into the tobacco).
We also exist to lobby manufacturers to bring back some of the English and Irish flakes that my grandfather used to smoke but which have since disappeared, such as Cut Golden Bar, Digger Flake and Redbreast Flake.
We also would like to see the production of Erinmore taken from Denmark and returned to Belfast, Northern Ireland, where it belongs.

For over 200 years, Samuel Gawith & Co. has been producing kick ass pipe tobacco that has been enjoyed by all walks of life the world over. In the mountainous Lake District of Cumbria, the generations of Gawiths have been hand cutting, stripping and blending their tobaccos.

A place to discuss what we are smoking and reading because for me the two go hand in hand.

This ancient relationship between a man, his pipe, and his tobacco is maintained by the younger generations realizing the simple bliss that comes from it and getting involved. If you’re not ”collegiate” or ”younger” we want you too! Part of what makes communities like these vital for our hobby is older generations of pipe smokers bestowing knowledge to the younger. Older guys, think of this as a pool for us younger and less experienced folk to pick your brains a bit.
