Yudi Octagon Bowl Meerschaum

I'll use this pipe to ask a couple of questions. First, anyone know anything about Yudi of Belgium ? Assuming the liner of the bowl is the only meerschaum part, what is the shell made of, bakelite ? This last question is more generic, is there any way to correct a problem with a stem that mis-aligns with the bowl ?

Thank you Bonehed and Steve Laugh. I can't believe how well that worked. I heated some water to boil on the stove, turned it off and dipped the end in for 2 minutes and threaded it back in. Great fix.
