With no hope of ever being rescued. You can only have one movie and one album(cd). What would they be? The Deer Hunter and Quadrophenia-The Who

That's a toughie Oppie,
To pick one ALBUM from my 300+.
First I would have to say, I hope I'm marooned with you.
Quadorphenia is my favorite Who album.
So, I'd have to say.... Brain Salad Surgery by Emerson Lake and Palmer.
For the movie.....hmmmm
Hatari.
ELP one of my very, very favorites! Never seen Hatari.
My album pick would be Silly Wizard "Live Wizardry "
I would have to go with Monty Python and The Holy Grail for the movie.
Arthur,
What's your opinion on the swallow controversy?
African or European?
Only 300 Lawrence! I've got that many on my iPhone
I stopped counting how many cd's I have after I had to start removing them from my 400 disc changer whenever I got a new one.
Hmmm...One album....I can't do it, hell I can't even choose one artist! I'd probably end up regretting it eventually, but: Miles Davis - Birth of the Cool
Movie: So I Married an Axe Murderer
Laden or unladen?
LOL!
Definitely has to Laden.
Well then African of course!
Good man.
Can I just save room and bring my digital player? (I'm decidedly anti Ipod)
OK OK I get it.
Lessee.....
Right now I think I'd go Bullet Proof by Reckless Kelly and I'd maybe have to say....Fight Club.
Alan Parsons Project Gaudi , Apocalypse Now Redux
Oppie,
If I was on "desert island" how would I listen to my music and watch my movie, there would be no electricity, TV's, DVD Players or CD Players?
OK, I'll play... "Bad Company, Here Comes Trouble" & "HEAT" (or something with Jenna Jameson)...
The Outlaw Jose Wales. Something by Chet Atkins.
Phil, I know its a silly conundrum.
Oppie, I had to give you crap...
Joni Mitchell - Blue
and hmmm...
The 3 Burials of Melquiades Estrada (Castaway is a little too ironic)
Rolling Stones Exile on Main Street for the album. The movie. Lord of Rings Return of the King.
Dunendain, Exile on Main Street!!!!! Can't get much better than that one. Excellent choice.
Phil, When you think about it it is pretty silly. Ok. I will add. You also have a Honda generator and an unlimited supply of gas and spare parts. HHHAAA.
Jimmy Buffett Greatest hit album. Hell I'm on an island might as well feel like I'm in paradise.
Castaway would be the movie. Again hell I'm on an island I might be able to learn me something. Probably Braveheart though.
The movie will be "The Shine", and the music "Traveloge from the Blues Travellers" in english. In Spanish "EL día de la Bestia" and Fito Paez´s "Euforia"
Bests
Luis Barra

Movie: Sorry, I just don't like movies enough, OK, here goes: Caddy Shack
CD: Pat Metheny-Secret Story...enough quality/unbelievable melodies to last a lifetime.

Rolling Stones Exile on Main Street, Lord of the Rings, books and movies. 200 pounds of Peter Stokkebye Bullseye Flake, 1000 gallons of Bass Ale.
Movie: Casablanca
CD: Red's Blues by Red Garland ...no need something more upbeat... Jimmy Buffett's Greatest Hits ... no surfmac claimed that first... next best thing - Bob Marley "Legend"
The Day the Earth Stood Still (the original, not that sad excuse for a remake), and Johnny Cash's Greatest Hits
Cast Away... who knows, I might learn some valuable survival skills.
Soundtrack from Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring. Then I can imagine the movie and then have two movies to "watch" on the island!
Simon
Bump for the newbies
Movie...... Tombstone
music...... U2 or Creed
Movie... Batman Returns
Album... The Gang's All Here - Dropkick Murphys.
Movie - The Lord of the Rings Extended Edition Box set. Ya know, so I have several days worth of material before I have to repeat stuff.
Album - Out of the Blue - Electric Light Orchestra. Not only does it have the majority of my favorite tracks of any ELO album, but its a double so there are more songs either whichway. Not to mention I never get tired of ELO.
Movie - "How to survive on a deserted island" (directed by: Guys who know how to survive on a deserted island)
CD - the soundtrack to the above listed movie.
The Blues Brothers & Led Zepplin's Mothership
Movie: The Godfather
CD: Bach's Brandenburg Concertos
Darn, such a diffcult question. I'd take PATTON as film and MINDFIELDS by Toto as music. And one of my Petersons!!!!
