Part of the Furniture Now
for a pipe and baccy collector, its a bit pricey, but that for military distro only sticker from WW2 makes it worth a fortune for military memorabilia collectors. I think I recall an old C-Rat pack of cigs going for nearly a hundred a few years back. Heck I know I remember a case of old C-Rats somebody inherited with a bomb shelter going for nearly a thousand. Some people are crazier about old military stuff than we are with pad/tad.

That's cool!
I always liked how Lucky Strike changed over from green to white...

I'd rather have a C-Rat example though...

...also interesting is the preservation/rationing effort on the British home front,

found this online:

"This is really more of a Home Front item and is not military issue. But it is interesting as it shows evidence of wartime re-cycling. The public were urged to give back tins for reuse. Shops would collect them. You can see where the original full sized paper label, which covered the whole of the tin, once sat. Note the adhesive mark. When the tin was reused, the later small sized paper label was put in place to save on paper."
