Well, you are going to get a plethora of answers and this is one of them. Buy the one that whispers in your ear "TAKE ME HOME!" ;) I'm sure whichever you end up with it will not be the wrong choice. Regards............

#2 for the Dublin shape, or #4 for the saddle stem. I like the slightly larger bowls, so not #3, and #1 doesn't

have that Dunhill snap to it. If I found any one of the four at a flea market at a mistaken price I could afford,

I'd buy it and be thrilled.

There's only one answer and the obvious choice is clearly #3
Everyone else is wrong - plain and simple. :puffy:

I like them all. They will all smoke wonderfully, I am sure. I like #4, but I also like the contrasted colors in the blast on #1.
You can't lose, but in the end, it's what Banjo said which one sings loudest to you.

I like the blasts on 1 and 3. When were they all made? I'm going to guess for fun, oldest to newest 1,3 2,4.

#1 has some nice grain and color.
#2 and #4 look to have the most material left on the button. One of my nit picks with older Dunhills is that the buttons are often severely buffed almost to the point of disappearing completely.
I like the Dublin.

Here are the ages for the pipes. #1 1980. #2 2010, #4 1977. I rejected #3 due to spider webbing. I am thinking of #4. Should I be concerned about a little spider webbing?
