Let start September off with some vintage Bowie. Always a good thing in my opinion.

So far I've played some Bonnie 'Prince' Billy and Stiff Little Fingers. Good "hurricane" weather music.

That's interesting beefeater......I was just listening to Fleetwood Mac - Mystery to Me on vInyl earlier with a bowl of squadron leader and glass of Old Forrester's. I love old Fleetwood Mac. I also love the stuff with buckingham and nicks. They were just such a great band.

barleycorn- you are most welcome. I actually have to thank GWAR, because had I not watched THIS video on a lark I would not have seen Screaming Females. CAUTION: This is GWAR covering Kansas, "Carry On My Wayward Son"; Comforting the disturbed and disturbing the comfortable. It's actually decent.

Say what you will, this was a talent of great magnitude. Some say the widest vocal range of all.
He'd be 70 today. I arrived to appreciation late in life due to an inherent social stereotype of words and concepts rooted in homophobia. Fear of the queer, or any association with it for fear of ridicule, rejection, or accusation.
I confess that these fears persist. Anyway...

I'll think of a song out of the blue, find it on youtube, and then look for all the covers of the same song.
In honor of the beginning of fall and the 9th month of the year, this one is the first of many I'll be checking out, but it's perfect for both listening and watching while puffing a pipe!

Enjoying my new orange vinyl copy of Wilco - Schmilco with a bowl of ODF in the Luciano bamboo Dublin. I just noticed my replacements turntable mat is showing through the vinyl. Also I thought it was fitting that my 500th post was about my two favorite things - pipe tobacco and music. Rock on.

    Great tunes, folks.
