Pat Metheny, "As Falls Wichita So Falls Wichita Falls"

That made me think of this song, from Buddy Guy, Johnny Copeland and Robert Cray's "Showdown" album, "Black Cat Bone" (mentions Wichita Falls...)
At this moment it is 'Should the Ugly Girl Blow Me?' from the Dave Brockie Experience.
Hah What a great album.

Enigma, "The Screen Behind the Mirror"
MercyMe, "I Can Only Imagine"
GnR sweet child o' mine
Its a Hendrix kind of day. Right now Electric Lady Land album playing on the Ipod. Earlier it was Axis Bold as Love.
One Sonic Society, "Forever Reign"
Skinny Mick and the Stones!!!
Meshuggah's new album.
Krypton Radio - An internet radio station that just morphed from Tool's Forty Six & 2 to Thomas Dolby's A Map of the Floating City. WOW!
I have iTunes radio on and am flipping stations.
At this very moment I'm listening to this.
But I'll also leave this here because it's just as amazing. Fantastic album/soundtrack.
Hobie there is some very deep low end throb in this track.
Mastodon and Opeth, since I have tickets to their local show next week.
Govt Mule High and Mighty, and in 5 minutes some Black Label Society.
Well, not listening to this yet, but I will be on Saturday. My wife, who turns 50 in two weeks, is a huge Elvis Presley fan. She loves one impersonator, Shawn Klush and he is in a show called "Heart of the King", a tour featuring him and two other Elvis impersonators. I bought tickets as part of her birthday present, she doesn't yet know we're going. Now I pretty much dislike most Elvis' music so three hours of impersonators should be interesting. I typically have to avoid making fun of the singers, to keep on my wife's good side. She puts up with my Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd tribute acts, so I guess this is fair play. She'll be tickled and I say "happy wife, happy life". Enjoy this...
High and Mighty is probably a top 10 album favorite for me.
Man I haven't listened to Alice in Chains since the 90s and all of a sudden I'm on a kick. Jerry Cantrell really should get some sort of award for rock song writing.
AC/DC "Live Wire", from a 1979 concert at the Oakland Coliseum. Thru "Wolfgangs Vault", a treasure trove of old audio/video concerts from the '70s and promoter Bill Grahams stash of material he left literally in vaults.
Madness!
The Bangles' version of Hazy Shade of Winter. I'm learning it on guitar.
Peter Gabriel " So"
Mike - that's one of my all time favorite albums. Have you ever heard the acoustic version of Country Girl from Deja Vu? It's really good man.
Sometimes I forget how great Neil Young is. I love him with CS&N
95.7 Ben Radio out of Philadelphia. Streaming radio on iTunes.
That Southern Man is SMOKIN.
The "Loner/Cinnamon Girl/Down By The River" from that album is one of the most amazing performances I have ever heard by him. He was (no pun intended) very young then
Zero 7 "The Garden"
Now that's proper techno. God bless the Swedes.
Berlioz's Symphonie Fantastique, Op.14 2nd movement
Revive "Blink"
Right now a little Katzenjammer! I love the ragtime/bluegrass feel of this song especially.
Vivaldi - Four seasons
Rondo Veneziano. The wife likes it and i'm a coward, so i listen to it as well.
Original broadway cast - Wicked! I'm a broadway nut.
Some good old fashioned thrash metal. Mekong Delta.
Very smooth jazz...
Just got done listening to Fly By Night by Rush on the local Fm radio. After the song the dj said they have announced they are going back on tour late summer and fall. Well I'm done buying pipes for a while. Gotta save some money to go see them play. Rush is one of my all time favs and its been on my bucket list to see them. My son is a rush fan also so he'll be coming along.
Bentmike:
You are going to love the new Rush album, Clockwork Angels (3 songs released so far). Check out this latest video for "Headlong Flight". A very cool video as well, a mix of old/new concert shots with the song. Rush appears to be backing off the synth sound and going for a straightforward power-trio, which I love. They hit DC in September, I'll be there.

Listening to Fly Farm Blues by Jack White on vinyl
Meg Bowles......ambient music which is great for pipe smoking.
Suicidal angels-inquisition
Jack White's new release, "Blunderbuss", pretty good so far. Something about his guitar playing and vocals really grabs me. Opening track:
METALLICA Death Magnetic
Far and away my favorite metal band and Death Magnetic is the closest they have come to the spirit of the first 3 records. I love the track "The Day That Never Comes" Starts off nice and easy and culminates with blistering intensity just like the song "One".
@Al, yes I've heard the cut "Headlong Flight" It sounds great. Can't wait to hear it live. In fact can't wait to hear the band play period. Never seen Rush live yet so really looking forward to it.
I dont know how to post the video on here but Norah Jones Come Away With Me for her voice alone I would leave the missus...good thing I dont have a shot
@lifeon2 -Amen to that brother!
I've heard that voice live. Amazing.
Warren Haynes Band, "Live at the Moody Theater", a great live recording.
Black Country Communion
Great so see some classic rock guys still going. And Jason Bonham on drums man he can play like his dad.
I'm a big Black Country fan myself. Glenn Hughes, Joe Bonomassa - some real talent and an old school hard-rock sound (70's ish) I saw Jason Bonham do "The Led Zeppelin Experience" last year in NJ at a small venue, that was terrific. He has one heck of a lead doing the Plant vocals. The show also includes home movie and other video of John Bonham which I really enjoyed.
Al as a bass player Glenn Houghs was one of my major infulences.
And I still have Jason Bobhams first cd from the late 80s early 90 lol
WBGO FM - Jazz from Newark, NJ.
JPJ on the Bass. Damn straight!
