Here's a terrific adaptation of the Peter Hollens composition, "December Song" by young cellist Nicholas Yee.

One of my very favorite Kansas songs, from their first album...but this live version from the Two for the Show album is just incredible...particularly from about the 3 min mark on.

The remastered and extended version of Two for the Show is one of the all time greatest live albums IMO.

I screamed for the devil to let me be
I called to the heavens to set me free
Today I prayed for the answer and not one
Of the gods in the sky would rescue me

I will concede it isn't a 'Christmas' song, but it certainly isn't a date rape song, either:

The 2 epic closing tracks from Kansas' third album Masque, which are really one piece of music written by Livgren.

Thanks man...Kansas doesn't get enough love. The original line-up especially had an amazing musical synergy...and had so many great songs that never got radio play.

Below is a great example of why the expanded Two For The Show album is so good...gotta crank this one up...another number from Masque:

For my friends who are prisoners of the "culture police" in Cleveland, Denver, Atlanta, Canada and other places, where radio stations have pulled one of my favorite seasonal tunes, here's the classic, "Baby, It's Cold Outside" by Dean Martin.
By the way, the radio station Cortez is glued to has boldly gone forth and played the song at least twice each day.

Great Who video Beef...with an awesome final 60 seconds.

Another magnificent performance from the Two for the Show album. The two minutes from 3:00 to 5:00 is particulary epic.
