I think its a billiard my oh thinks its an acorn, its only markings are Made in England. Rosewood/ebony/walnut have been suggested but i have no idea? I dont know anything about it having acquired it following a death in the family.

My relative also had Hardcastles, dunhills and several Peterson pipes, so we know he spent money on his pipes. But we cant find ANYTHING about this beauty

ps if i am wrong about the shape please tell me.

I could place a fairly safe bet on it being made of briar. Possibly with a dark stain? Though it could just be well-smoked...
The stem appears to be vulcanite, judging by the discolouring.
The shape is, I would say, a bent billiard.
I've not a clue as to made it, sorry!
P.S. I'm pretty sure rosewood is toxic to smoke, so you can rule that off your list regardless! :wink:
