My oldest son left a half-full bottle of Jim Beam Ghost White Whiskey before he headed back to college for some summer classes. Not something I would buy myself, not sure I would recommend it ... but it gets one to the happy place pretty quick, and so I may just pour myself a little more ...

I'm at work now, but I wish I was at home drinking a nice cold IPA. Preferably made by Terrapin, Sweet Water, Oskar Blues or Highland.

Two fingers of Kraken at the moment. I had a couple cups of hot tea before that. Seems I have a little bit of a sore throat, and the Kraken usually helps.

Went to the Liquor Mart today as one of the salesmen had informed me this fine ale would be going into the clearance section when I was there a few days ago and was going to buy 6 of them, so I put them back on the shelf then came back today and bought 12. 10.5% but it's a damn fine beer.

Hmm, maybe beer. Yeah, I think probably beer.

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.
