I think we all end up doing it at some point: You've got some of this, you mix it with some of that and presto: You've got your own new tobacco recipe. Tonight I smoked a flake of Stonehaven and had a small piece of the flake left over. I decided to smoke a bowl of Rattray's Old Gowrie, but then noting the leftover Stonehaven, I decided to rub out the Stonehaven annd mix it with enough Old Gowrie to fill my pipe. Honestly, it was ok. But I don't think I'd do it on purpose again. I've also added some Lane BCA to other tobaccos when I was in the mood to sweeten something else up a bit. I don't recall what I mixed because I didn't make a note of it, but I recall liking it.
And that's the point of this post. I'd like to hear what two or more tobaccos people have married together to good result. Surely many people have done this over time. Let's share recipes that you thought worked - as well as ideas that might not have worked so well.
What have you got?
